The International Journal of Anaplastology is sponsored by the International Anaplastology Association. The association is dedicated to promoting excellence within the field of facial and somato prosthetics to enhance patients’ quality of life. The Journal is a peer-reviewed publication for the exchange of information among interested health care providers.

The IAA holds the publication of its journal with paramount importance as part of its mission to provide continuing education, research, publication, and advocacy opportunities among professionals involved in restoring malformed or absent parts of the human body through artificial means.

This was the former journal of the International Anaplastology Association and is no longer published. Replacing this journal is now the International Journal of Anaplastology
