Attention: Please log into the website or create an account in order to submit an abstract. If you have a problem with submitting your abstract, please send the documents to webmaster@anaplastology.org.
Review Procedures:
- The Scientific Program Committee Chair or Program Chair receives all abstracts by deadline date.
- Review of abstracts is blinded. Only the Chair will know the identity of the author of each abstract. Prior to reviewing the abstracts, the Chair will assign a number to each abstract while removing any identifiable information of the abstract’s author. Only the Chair will keep record of the author’s assigned number.
- The Chair will make and distribute one copy of all submitted abstracts for each committee member to review. Recommendations by the committee members will be made in reference to the abstracts assigned number and returned to the chair only.
- The chair will review the committee’s recommendations and report the overall recommendations to the entire committee.
- The chair will compose the scientific program based on the strength of the recommendations of the committee and the available amount of time not delegated to invite speakers.
- The Scientific Program Committee Chair or Program Chair will notify the selected speakers of their obligation to attend the meeting and present.
Guidelines for Review:
- Each abstract will be rated on a scale from 1-10, based on the proceeding guidelines. Abstracts that receive the highest total combined score from all reviewers will be accepted into the program based on time availability, until all time slots are filled. In the event that there is a tie for the last remaining time slot, further elimination will be decided at the committee meeting to discuss program selection.
- Preference will be given to abstracts that address the theme of the meeting, and/or represent new and timely information.
- Consideration will be given to the presenter with the potential to have the greatest impact on the current or future practice of anaplastology.
