Synergistic Collaboration

Dear Colleagues,

The wonderful meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil invigorated and energized us all.  It was not just the breathtaking views from Sugarloaf Mountain that elevated
our thinking, or the warm rays on Copacabana beach that infused us with energy.  It was the fellowship experienced from our multidisciplinary connections
made around the globe.

The International Anaplastology Organization is a testimony of "Synergistic Collaboration."  We are a diverse group of people who work together to accomplish
more than we could alone.  When professionals of varied disciplines combine their efforts toward a common goal, they can achieve excellence and make a
profound difference.  As health care providers from around the world we are challenged to find solutions to help improve our patient’s quality of life, guiding
them through the rehabilitation of body, mind and spirit.  It is the experiences that each of us bring to the group that enrich our knowledge, spark inventive
thinking, ignite pioneering with technology, and make us better innovators, clinicians and people.  With contagious enthusiasm, I welcome you to join the
International Anaplastology Association in celebrating the multidisciplinary harmony that our organization represents; blending art, science, and technology
with transformation and compassion.

I would like to personally welcome you to take part in our “Synergistic Collaboration” at the 30th Annual meeting of the International Anaplastology Association
to be held June 1-4, 2016 in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas!   The Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is the nation’s fourth largest metropolitan area, housing numerous
craniofacial teams, specialists, and more than 55 hospitals.

Our planning committee has put together a program full of expert lectures and opportunities to create interdisciplinary connections, learn new techniques, and
reconnect with longtime colleagues. Topics to be covered during the congress include:

  • Treatment options in facial reconstruction
  • Pre-prosthetic surgery and setting foundations in symmetry
  • Osseointegration and implant management
  • Psychological impact of anaplastology services at end of life treatment
  • Advances in somato prostheses
  • Digital technology in pre-surgical planning, intraoperative procedures, and prosthesis fabrication

To offer the true Texas experience, the conference will be hosted at the Hilton Fort Worth in Sundance Square.  This is walking distance to numerous restaurants,
shops, proper Western saloons, and the Stockyards and Rodeo just down the road! The pre-conference workshops will be held on Wednesday, June 1st with the
main program June 2nd and 3rd. On June 4th, we will host post-conference courses to give you the opportunity for hands on experience with our experts
and industry partners.

Traveling to and from Texas will be easy.  The Dallas Ft. Worth International Airport (DFW) is roughly halfway between both cities and offers service to most
major international destinations.

The IAA embraces our international, multifaceted membership and looks forward to seeing you in Fort Worth.   Please mark your calendars for June 1-4, 2016.
Grab your cowboy hat and boots and we will see y'all in Texas!

With warm anticipation,
